Handling of personal informationThe personal information you submit in your application for benefit will be processed in the social welfare committee's computer system so your case can be dealt with.
Your name and address will be checked regularly against central private address registers. Information will also be collected from the National Social Insurance Board's health insurance register.
All information handled is protected by the Official Secrets Act. The social welfare committee is responsible for handling the information. You have the right to ask, once per calendar year, which of your personal details are being handled by the social services. You must apply for this information in writing and sign your application in person. Applications should be sent to Socialkontoret, Box 356, 581 03 Linköping.
You also have the right to ask for corrections to be made to any information which is incorrect or which has been handled in contravention of the current laws or regulations.
